The Arnott Eye Centre was established by Eric Arnott over 25 years ago. In the early 1970s he introduced the first modern technique for small incision cataract surgery - phacoemulsification - into Europe. Since its inception the centre has become internationally recognised as a tertiary referral centre for the treatment of complicated cataract and corneal problems.
Following the retirement of Eric Arnott in 1999, we decided to rename the centre Arnott Eye Associates, which reflects the multidisciplinary nature of the team headed by Mr Richard Packard. In 2017 we moved to the prestigious Optegra building on Queen Anne Street and became an Optegra company.
From 2017, Arnott Eye have partnered with Optegra Eye Health Care – the UK’s most trusted group of national eye hospitals. The exciting new partnership means the Arnott clinic is now located within Optegra’s flagship Central London eye hospital.
